Anthony Jerry Womick is a native of Southern Illinois. Jerry is the Business Manager for Laborers’ Local 773, one largest and racially diverse Local Unions within the Laborers’ International Union of North America representing members in 41 states. Jerry is also currently Chairperson of The Carbondale Branch NAACP Labor and Industry Committee in Carbondale, IL. Jerry serves as Treasurer of “TLC” The Laborers’ Care Foundation 501(c)(3), where in 2020 during the height of the pandemic The Laborers’ Care distributed over 1.5 million pounds of fresh produce, dairy products, and meat to some of Illinois’ poorest communities in the southern region of the state. Jerry has served on Southern Illinois University and Laborers’ Local 773’s Joint Apprenticeship committee for over 10 years. Jerry also serves a member of SI Now, a regional economic development hub and unified voice for the 17 southern counties of Illinois to advance the region as a great place to live, work and do business. Jerry is married with three children and resides in Carterville, IL.
