Tom Wendorf

Tom Wendorf is a retired business executive. He has over 30 years of corporate management experience. From 2000 - 2010 he owned and operated an advertising, sales and marketing business. In 2013 he collaborated with the Jane Adams Resource Corporation to found Career Connect Metro West. 

Appointed to the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board in 2015 he serves as co-chair of the Business Engagement Committee. He serves on the CCR P-20 Steering Committee. He is an active member of the DuPage County Workforce Board and the Illinois Equity Task Force. 

In 2019, Tom Wendorf and Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, Director of the DuPage Regional Office of Education founded the DuPage “Work Based Learning and Apprenticeship Collaborative”. This collaborative brought together the DuPage Regional Office of Education, College of DuPage Project Hire Ed, WorkNet DuPage and GPSed to create a business sector-based pathway from education to careers for DuPage High School students. This initiative is based on the career experience and exploration model recommended for K-12 education by the CCR P-20 Council. 

Tom lives in Wheaton with his wife Mickey a retired professor of accounting at DePaul University. Mickey Wendorf is a registered CPA and holds MBA, and MS degrees. She retired in 2016.
